Telford and Wrekin Libraries “had some clear ideas for the table, and discussions with Round Software helped to clarify these and come up with an interface design to suit our requirements. Round Software came up with some lovely ideas for displaying the captions and memories”.

We consequently adopted an iterative approach to continually improve the product throughout its development cycle: “Round Software have helped us by developing and adding more features such as the ability to add people's memories to the table, to add different themes, film clips, and a 'Then and Now' features, all of which add further interest. We can also hide images so they can be changed at a later date, therefore encouraging people to keep coming back.”

·The Digital Heritage table forms the centrepiece of regular 'Memories of Telford' events, where long-term residents enjoy the opportunity to “reminisce over a cuppa”!

Inspired by the success of the Digital Heritage Project, including increasing visitor numbers to the library, Telford and Wrekin Libraries engaged Round Software to develop a 47 inch multi-touch display table for children, to display drawings, reviews and school competitions.

Continuing to provide Telford and Wrekin Libraries with technical support, as well as undertaking ongoing development work to add new functionality to the tables.

Feedback on the Digital Heritage Project's multi-touch display table has been overwhelmingly positive from Telford & Wrekin Libraries, users of the table, and local media. Shortly after opening, the library was “really busy with families and people visiting. Without doubt, one of the continuing stars has been the digital table”.
